About this opportunity
The Enhancing Capacities of Women and Youth-led Enterprises for Regional Trade (ECoWYERT) programme is led by UNDP in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation and runs from 2025 to 2030 in Botswana, the DR Congo, Malawi, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe. It offers practical, market-focused training for three groups: new-to-trade youth aged 16 to 35, growing trade enterprises such as home-based businesses, and scaling formal enterprises. Participants gain business-management, financial literacy and record-keeping skills, cross-border trade and export-readiness skills, and knowledge of regional markets under the African Continental Free Trade Area. Applicants complete an application form and pick the category that matches their stage. Submitting an application does not guarantee selection.
